퍼짐이 The Jimmies

It started with some soft clay and a bit of play. I rolled the clay into balls and gave it to my kid. He squished, stepped on, and shaped them without thinking too much. Funny little forms appeared. I gave them eyes — and suddenly, they were alive.

We ended up giving them names: 홍식(Hoshi), 찌리(Ziri), 공이(Gomi), 봉식이(Bonnie), 둥이(Doony), 짱이(Zhenny), and 훈이 (Hooni). Each one has its own vibe. Some are shy, some are loud, and some just lie there looking mysterious.

They are the Jimmies — or 퍼짐이들 in Korean. They weren’t planned or designed. They just… happened. It felt like the clay was becoming whatever it wanted to be and I loved that. Creativity doesn’t always have to be intentional. Sometimes it just comes from playing around and seeing what shows up.
