Seoul: The Gallery is a digital art project that captures the artistic identity and vibrant rhythm of Seoul. It weaves together the city’s diverse cultures and creative energy into a unique visual experience. The project offers a new lens through which to explore Seoul’s many layers — from its traditions to its modern expressions — reimagining the city itself as an open gallery.
This project was created to reimagine Seoul as not just a city, but an evolving canvas of artistic expression. The design blends elements of historical architecture, urban patterns, and contemporary visual culture to echo Seoul’s unique tension between the past and the present. The goal is to invite viewers to see the city with fresh eyes — to observe not just its skyline, but its soul.
⚙️ Key Functions & Components
- Fully immersive VR interaction: Users can walk, look around, and interact with elements in a spatial environment that evokes Seoul’s spirit.
- Playful exploration: Instead of traditional gallery walls, artworks are hidden in street corners, rooftops, hanok alleys, and neon-lit signs — waiting to be discovered.
- Non-linear storytelling: There’s no fixed path. The city becomes a canvas, and the player paints the journey by moving through it.
